Boniechia
Artist Bio
Boniecha (buh NEE sha) is a Cleveland-born singer and songwriter now based in Alabama, known for heartfelt lyrics, strong melodies, and music rooted in faith, growth, and purpose. She began singing and writing at 17 and made her first independent recording at 18, appearing on a local compilation that helped launch her creative path.
As a songwriter, Boniecha co-wrote songs connected to a Universal Records signing, but ultimately chose to step away from content that did not align with her personal beliefs. That decision helped shape the authenticity and conviction that now define her sound.
Boniecha was also one half of Shekinah & Glory, whose debut album was released in 2016 and produced by Grammy-winning producer Kelvin Wooten. Through that work, she performed across the region and shared stages with notable gospel artists, continuing to build her voice and presence as a recording artist.
Her solo career has continued that momentum. Her first solo release, It Ain’t Over, was recognized by Trackstars and received a Song of the Year nomination at the Steeple Awards in Atlanta. She has also released songs including “Love” and “Dear You,” and has collaborated with artists such as Proud Lamarie and Zay Hill. Her music is also featured in the upcoming film What Is Love, including the collaboration “Blessings” with Ryder Boy.
Boniecha’s artistry is marked by honesty, resilience, and a desire to create music that moves people emotionally while pointing them toward hope.
